Subscriptions for the 2021/22 year are due on 1st October 2021. Please remember that if you wish to be fully covered by Bee Disease Insurance you must take out cover for the total number of colonies you anticipate keeping during the coming season.
Membership categories are as follows:
Full membership is open to new and established beekeepers in the North Cotswolds area, and entitles you to partake in our annual programme of activities; to receive advice, support and ongoing training for those new to beekeeping; BBKA News; Bee Disease Insurance (BDI); access to a good library of beekeeping books; loan of some beekeeping equipment and support for BBKA examinations. A reduced subscription is available for under 21s.
Partner membership is for a beekeeping partner at the same address as a full member who requires all the advantages of full membership, but does not require additional copies of the periodicals and newsletters.
Affiliate membership is available for beekeepers from other areas who already pay a full subscription to another county Association, and entitles them to attend our talks and apiary visits.
Associate membership (formerly Social Membership) is for partners of full members who wish to attend talks and apiary visits.
Subscription Rates The subscription rates for all bands of membership and BDI cover for various numbers of hives are laid out on the attached form.
Gift Aid Don’t forget to tick the gift aid box so that Gloucestershire Beekeepers Association can claim back the tax you would be liable for on part of your subscription.
PAYMENT: NB for those of you who are able and willing to do internet banking, please pay your sub direct to the NCBKA account: Lloyds Bank; Sort code: 30-95-75 Account: 00721258 and please use your surname as the reference. If you do pay directly into the account, please email or post the form to me so I can tie up the membership & BDI to the amount. Otherwise send me a cheque with your form .
BDI: Members’ details are now transferred to the BDI electronically and if you have an email address you will receive an electronic receipt/insurance certificate. Using email makes for great savings in time and postage! Prompt payment also helps so we have an up to date membership list so we can plan ahead.
